This programme was commissioned by Association of British Insurers in association with the Home Office. The ABI is the trade association for the UK's insurance industry that represents around 400 insurance companies.
Its members provide all kinds of insurance in Britain and worldwide, including savings and pensions, life insurance, and motor, household and health insurance. The UK insurance industry makes an enormous contribution to the economy, provides cost-effective support for millions of individuals and companies, and also helps society achieve our common objectives.
Bomb alert was commissioned in response to a heightened level of terrorist activity in the early Nineties. The content of this programme is still relevant today.
